FREE ADMISSION (donations accepted).  As featured on the February 2016 cover of Model Railroader magazine and mentioned in subsequent issues, model trains depicting the Western North Carolina Railroad during the transition period from steam to diesel.  We also operate model trolleys powered by overhead wires.   Hosted by the Northern Virginia Model Railroaders in the historic Vienna Depot (c. 1859) of the former Washington & Old Dominion Railroad, 231 Dominion Road NE, Vienna, Virginia 22180. Operating from a permanent 20' X 50' layout using DCC. Award-winning structures.  Don't forget to visit our great museum featuring the history of the W&OD (the railroad that built Northern Virginia) and many other railroad pictures and artifacts of the iron road.   

We are sensitive to our visitors' concerns regarding our Covid-19 policies. NVMR is following CDC guidelines as best it can. The Vienna Depot is not a large building, and social distancing cannot be guaranteed. Masks are optional. Hand sanitizer will be available.
